As a Commercial Construction Estimator, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of each project. From reviewing blueprints and specifications to negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers, you'll be responsible for producing accurate, timely, and competitive bids. This is a hands-on position that requires both technical expertise and the ability to build it in your head when plans are incomplete. Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, competitive bids and proposals for commercial construction projects.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and preliminary designs to establish clear scopes of work.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs, pricing, and cost analysis.
• Solicit, analyze, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, and project managers to refine designs and budgets.
• Assist field teams with change order pricing when needed.
• Organize and maintain bid information for future reference.
• Build and maintain strong vendor and subcontractor relationships.
• Stay current with estimating technology, industry trends, and cost data.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years' experience in construction, including 5 or more years in estimating.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with estimating software, scheduling tools, CAE/CAD applications, and MS Office (Excel expertise required).
• Strong math, geometry, and analytical skills with the ability to create conceptual estimates.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and build from incomplete drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, technical writing, and organizational skills.
• Dependable, trustworthy, and able to work independently without micromanagement.
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary at $80,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
